Your preferred piece of jewelry?
My favourite piece of jewellery is in fact not strictly mine– its a ring I purchased for my child. Its a Victorian Burma ruby dress ring. She definitely likes it but isnt allowed to wear it till shes a lot older! Its a gorgeous thing to buy for her future. Fortunate girl!
I think coloured stones are fantastic, its an area we are strong on and are constantly attempting to find fresh pieces. Excellent large antique coloured gown rings are extremely popular at the minute and a fantastic investment.

One of the pieces was a filthy double-crossed arrow brooch with a heart-shaped centre. When I got it house and started to clean the brooch, I rapidly understood it was a special piece of jewellery.

Any remarkable or jaw-dropping pieces youve offered throughout the years?
The hardest aspect of working with spectacular jewellery is not having the ability to buy it all, specifically when youre beginning with nothing! The best piece I have purchased ( to date) was an outrageous Carlo Giuliano brooch. He is one of my outright favourite makers and was among the worlds most celebrated goldsmiths. The Giuliano brooch/pendant I purchased was an unbelievably elaborate example. A double-sided dynamic scene featuring horse heads, enamelled jesters with typical design and enamelling. It was one of the most beautiful things I d ever seen. I understood I could not manage it, but I had to own it. I dislike being sorry for the important things I do not buy! I would have liked to keep it, but alas, I had to sell it on to a collector. Its something Ill never ever forget.
