A hip-hop music video shoot was interrupted by none other than the police, who showed up and opened fire at the actors. They believed it was an authentic live carjacking.
Officers showed up to the scene on six mile road late on Saturday, June 10th, to find a Jeep parked alongside an Aston Martin, a popular sports car.
Police say they saw two men bearing down on the parked Aston with what they ascertained to be weapons. They responded by firing three shots. You can see a video of the incident below:
Apparently, the filmmakers and actors had no permits or permission of any kind from the city to make their film.
Dan Donakowski, a spokesperson for the Detroit police, said the suspect the officers fired on appeared to be not only armed, but to be robbing the Aston Martin they were approaching.
Thankfully, nobody was injured during the incident, though all three men shooting the video were placed under arrest.
